1. To emphasize the significance of food science and technology.

2. To participate actively in designing and implementing the University programs in food science and technology so that the needs of the society can be adequately filled.

3. To render public service though general enlightenment of the Society so that they can understand food regulations, food labels and sound dietary practices and can intelligently assess various claims involving foods and foods practices.

4. To direct the efforts of the Association for further development of the society through interaction among the members and with other organization.

5. To aid the members in their academic pursuit

6. To foster and enhance dynamic leadership among members.
